Built at the homestead Woodvale property in 1928, Conti's Restaurant is the original family home Paul shared with his Sicilian parents and seven siblings. Back then, the road was merely a dirt track and the community was small, but close-knit. Decades later, it became the family home for Paul, his wife Anne, and two children until they moved to newer premises on the property.
The old home was renovated and transformed into a fine dining restaurant in1982 and refurbished again in 1992 to its current state. Retaining the traditional features of the home, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its homely elegance and romantic atmosphere with highly adorned ceilings, original antique fixtures and richly polished jarrah floor boards.
A regular haunt for local clientele, the restaurant has loyally provided ideal settings for intimate wedding celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays and business luncheons seating up to 70 people comfortably. The main dining area is accompanied by two smaller rooms which couples or small groups request, preferring a private setting.
The roaring pot-belly fire located in the cosy entrance lounge is a welcoming touch in the winter months encouraging diners to enjoy pre-dinner drinks in warmth and comfort before dining. Moreover, thanks to the roomy layout and high ceilings, the restaurant is a cooling solace in the heat of summer also due to the forgiving stone walls and of course, ducted air conditioning throughout.
A deliciously wholesome menu, commonly referred to as “international French style combined with traditional Australian cuisine”, ranges from freshly shucked oysters, crispy roast duckling through to our ever-popular carpet-bag steak or succulent veal medallions.
Conti’s reputation is commendable which is why the WA public have consistently nominated the restaurant as one of the State's 'Best Restaurants at a Winery’ since 1998.
The wine list predominantly features Paul Conti Wines and a limited selection of alternative wines from other producers.
